Assembly to Magellan MYP

On February 27 and 29, of this year we hosted an assembly at our school, Magellan. We presented to all of the middle school students in our school with hopes of spreading our word and trying to get anyone in need of help the things they need.

Assembly to 6th

The 6th graders were presented on the 27th of February. They all had a great time and learned a lot. Even though it may seem like they would be a little young to start learning about this topic, it is very important. Middle school is the start of one’s emotional growth, and it is the beginning of when students start to get a lot of schoolwork.

Assembly to 7th and 8th

Two days after the 6th graders, we presented to the 7th and 8th graders on February 29th. These grades had the most benefit from the presentation. These two grades are going through the most academically, and we felt this assembly would help them. In the 8th grade, many students are under a ton of stress and worry due to the workload and high school decisions, so we decided it would be great to inform them of ways to be aware and deal with problems they may have

Presentation to Toastmasters

To expand our reach of people, we presented to a group called Toastmasters. It is a nonprofit educational organization, which helps speakers build confidence as well as speaking skills. We decided to present to a group of distinguished and upcoming speakers here in Austin. Although this was after both the assemblies, it helped both of us develop our speaking skills as well as presentation skills.
